Dennis Bolton is the founder of Bolton Insurance Agency, an independent insurance agency based in Delaware, Ohio, focused on helping homeowners, families, real estate investors, and small business owners protect what matters most. Since founding the agency in 2015, Dennis has built the business around relationships, education, and long-term client trust rather than transactional quoting.
Before entering the insurance industry, Dennis spent 15 years in the mortgage business, giving him a unique understanding of real estate, lending, and risk management. That background allows him to help clients look beyond price alone and make informed decisions about proper protection for their homes, businesses, investments, and families.
Dennis graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a double major in Business and Communications, where he earned a full athletic scholarship as a four-year starter and three-time captain on the basketball team. He later earned his master’s degree from Ashland University.
In addition to operating the agency, Dennis owns multiple properties in the downtown Delaware area, further strengthening his perspective as both an insurance advisor and active property owner. He remains deeply involved in the local community, having served six years on the Main Street Delaware Board of Directors, including as Secretary. He currently serves as Vice Chair of Delaware’s Historic Preservation Commission and is a board member of the Kilbourne Ball Association. Dennis has also been actively involved with the Delaware County Board of Realtors, where he served on the board and was named Affiliate of the Year in 2019.
Outside of work, Dennis is a husband and father of four. Much of his time is centered around his family and their involvement in the local community, including coaching his sons’ baseball and basketball teams.
