Dennis Bolton is the owner of Bolton Insurance Agency, an independent insurance agency based in Delaware, Ohio. Since starting the agency in 2015, Dennis has focused on helping families, homeowners, real estate investors, and small business owners protect what they have worked hard to build. The agency has grown around a relationship-first approach, emphasizing education, trusted advice, and long-term client relationships rather than simply providing insurance quotes.
Before entering the insurance industry, Dennis spent 15 years in the mortgage business, giving him extensive experience in real estate, lending, and the risks that come with property ownership. That background, combined with his own experience as a business and property owner, allows him to help clients look beyond price and better understand how their insurance fits into their overall financial picture.
Dennis graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a double major in Business and Communications. While at Ohio Dominican, he earned a full athletic scholarship and was a four-year starter and three-time captain of the men’s basketball team. He later earned his master’s degree from Ashland University.
In addition to leading Bolton Insurance Agency, Dennis owns several properties in downtown Delaware, giving him firsthand experience with many of the insurance and risk-management challenges faced by property owners and real estate investors.
Dennis has a long history of involvement in the Delaware community. He served six years on the Main Street Delaware Board of Directors, including as Secretary, and previously served on the Delaware Historic Preservation Commission. He has also been involved with the Delaware County Board of Realtors, where he served on the board and was named Affiliate of the Year in 2019. He currently serves on the board of the Kilbourne Ball Association and remains active in local organizations and community initiatives.
Outside of work, Dennis is a husband and father of four. Much of his time is spent with his family and coaching his sons’ baseball and basketball teams.
